Vehicle-specific, diagnostics-led tuning
Promax Remaps approaches ECU tuning as a vehicle-specific calibration job rather than a one-size-fits-all software change. The exact vehicle, engine, ECU, condition and current hardware all matter before a tuning route is recommended.
What ECU remapping can change
Where the vehicle is suitable, ECU remapping can improve power, torque, throttle response and the way the engine delivers performance in everyday driving. The result varies by vehicle and setup, so Promax uses vehicle-specific information rather than promising the same outcome for every car or van.
Fuel economy is not guaranteed by a remap. Consumption depends on the vehicle, its condition, the calibration, driving style, load, traffic and journey type.
Checks before calibration
Before tuning, the vehicle should be correctly identified and any relevant faults, maintenance issues or hardware requirements considered. If a problem needs attention first, resolving that issue is more important than applying performance software.
Stage 1 and Stage 2
Stage 1 is generally intended for suitable vehicles on standard hardware. Stage 2 and more advanced tuning depend on the supporting hardware, ECU strategy and intended use. Promax will confirm suitability before work begins.
A clear process
Promax focuses on identifying the vehicle correctly, discussing the goal, choosing an appropriate calibration and completing final checks. The original ECU file is retained where the tuning workflow provides it, helping maintain a clear record of the vehicle software.
More than ECU remapping
Alongside vehicle tuning, Promax provides practical automotive support including garage services, diagnostics-led work, vehicle key support, recovery and number plates. If you are unsure which service is appropriate, contact Promax with the registration and a short description before travelling.
